Doncic Leads Mavericks to 2-0 Lead over Timberwolves, Just 2 Wins Away from NBA Finals
Dallas Mavericks Just 2 Wins Away from NBA Finals
The Dallas Mavericks are just two wins away from the NBA Finals after defeating the Minnesota Timberwolves 109-108 in Game 2 of their Western Conference Finals series on Thursday night. Luka Doncic led the way for the Mavericks with 33 points, 13 rebounds, and 5 assists, including a go-ahead three-pointer with just three seconds remaining in the game.
Timberwolves Look for Way Back in Series
The Timberwolves, who are now down 2-0 in the series, were led by Karl-Anthony Towns' 29 points and 13 rebounds. Anthony Edwards added 22 points for Minnesota, but it wasn't enough to overcome Doncic's heroics.
Game 3 of the series is scheduled for Sunday night in Minnesota. The Timberwolves will need to win at least one of the next two games at home to avoid falling into a 3-0 hole.
