Tottenham Hotspur v SV Werder Bremen

Tottenham Hotspur's UEFA Champions League campaign in the 2010-11 season was a memorable one. The English club, managed by Harry Redknapp, reached the quarter-finals of the competition, where they were eventually eliminated by Real Madrid. They began their group stage campaign with a 3-1 victory over Dutch side FC Twente on 14 September 2010.

Tottenham faced a tough test in their second group match against German giants Werder Bremen. The game was played at the Weserstadion in Bremen on 29 September 2010. Tottenham took an early lead through a goal from Rafael van der Vaart in the 13th minute. Werder Bremen equalised in the second half through a goal from Marko Arnautović in the 56th minute. However, Tottenham responded well and scored two more goals through Gareth Bale and Robbie Keane to secure a 3-1 victory.

Tottenham finished the group stage in second place, behind Inter Milan. They faced reigning champions FC Internazionale Milano in the round of 16. Tottenham won the first leg 3-1 at home and drew the second leg 0-0, advancing to the quarter-finals with a 3-1 aggregate victory. In the quarter-finals, Tottenham faced Real Madrid. They lost the first leg 4-0 at home and the second leg 1-0 in Madrid, bowing out of the competition with a 5-0 aggregate defeat.
